![]() STATE OF THE PLANET UPDATE: “Resilience” by Isaac December 31st, 2021 Whew...what a year this was. I want to launch into "I'm Still Standing" by Elton John. Not everyone made it this far however, many are not here that began 2021. Now everyone is wondering, what about 2022? That is a good question. As an astrologer, and as a researcher and analyst that delves into the arcane, I can certainly say two things about 2022. 1) Don't get your hopes up. 2) Don't give up hope. Hope might be a contentious word with some folks. It can imply a longing for something that will be better, when the future arrives, versus being present with what is so at this moment. However, this is not the hope to which I am alluding. Hope is also akin to faith, the type of strong faith that takes on the character of "knowing" versus believing. Hope can be a knowing, a recognition that whatever is happening in the present, no matter what it is or how unpleasant it might be, the simple fact is that no condition is truly hopeless, nor is it doomed to last indefinitely. So, hope in this context can be an empowerment, a type of positive affirming that even in the direst of circumstances one is not a victim of those circumstances. Adopting the perspective of "the witness" can sometimes help when the world seems darkest, or our stress levels are at maximum, and we think we cannot go on. We can break free of that if we are mindful enough to not be totally absorbed into the experience we are having. The adage of "hope springs eternal" is an appropriate feeling to cultivate in the times we have been traveling through this past year, and the previous one. We are eternal, so our capacity for hopefulness and solutions is always there. So is our capacity for self-deception and Pollyannish perspectives. By being an advocate of hope I am not implying that we ignore the myriad clues to how we have all contributed to our own enslavement to many things in this world. What we allow does tend to continue, and blaming politicians, or anyone else for our current experience is not a creative or constructive response. Adopting a hopeful perspective will help us weather any shock or revelation that may arise in 2022. It can galvanize us to take our power back, and no longer cooperate in our dependency on external authorities. If we are to evolve as souls, we must come to realize that it is not seditious or idiotic to take full responsibility for our own our lives, our health, our creativity, or our freedom to choose. No external authority granted you "rights"...you were born with them. This month and year have ended with some powerful and significant astrology. On December 24th we had the last of the Saturn-Uranus squares. This sets the stage for what is to come in 2022. The Venus Retrograde journey in Capricorn and her three fated meetings in the Underworld with Pluto will also be a player. The most significant transit in the first 90 days of 2022 will be the triple conjunction of Pluto, Venus and Mars all smack-dab on the 27th degree of Capricorn, the same degree as the natal Pluto in the USA’s birth chart. Hang on to your hat’s kids…this will be a total game-changer. Especially if we are willing to set aside our cherished assumptions, beliefs and indoctrinations or what we believe is true, or have been told is true. It is a dying of sorts (Pluto), a death of illusions. We have loads of time to prepare for this, as it does not occur until March 3rd, 2022. The main feature of remaining hopeful and positive going forward is resilience. Resilience is that “don’t give up, never surrender” exhortation that Tim Allen’s character in the movie “Galaxy Quest” said so often. It is a powerful human quality that is deeply connected with the divine will to simply LIVE. Living is a courageous act. We may not see it as such day-to-day, but it really is. Single parents raising children and working full time are courageous. People battling health issues are courageous. Folks starving and fleeing war zones are courageous. Simply being here and having this human journey is an act of tremendous courage. It takes resilience to carry on, to put one foot in front of the other, even when you don’t feel like it. Resilience just might be rooted in that hope I spoke of earlier, that knowing that this or that challenge will pass and that somehow, things will improve. Resilience is also the progeny of sitting still, of waiting for the perfect moment to act, without waiting at all. Sounds pretty Zen, but that kind of patience is something most people lack. Stilling oneself and allowing things to just come to you when the time is right is also a form of resiliency. It is waiting without pushing. Expectation without avarice. Hope without yearning. A rare spiritual quality indeed, and one I will be aspiring to in the coming year. In fact, according to the many things I have investigated about my ideal mode of manifesting, the best and only way for me to operate. Only one way to find out…remain hopeful and be resilient. So here at the end of 2021, I will wish all of you an incredibly positive, hopeful, peaceful and joyful 2022. May all your dreams be true, may you enjoy good times, good health, prosperity and the company of friends. If you are looking for your tribe, just wait and they will find you. One thing is definite. You will not be the same person at the end of 2022 as started the year. That is something you should celebrate! Peace, Isaac NOTE: The reduced fees for all my services expires on January 3rd, 2022.
