The other day, someone on social media shouted out on a post “I think the World 🌍 has gone mad!” I responded, and she asked if I could lend any insights as to why.
Okay, so here…we…go.
Yes, there are some very powerful astrological events underway. Perhaps some of you aren’t followers or even believers in astrology. Doesn’t matter. Like oxygen and respiration some things work without you having to believe in them. Nonetheless, it is this or that thing that is giving some of us, or even a lot of us, a strong feeling that things are becoming very crazy and unhinged. Here’s the thing…
It’s a perfect storm of change.
A number of factors are all converging at the same time on Planet Earth, and not all of them are visible to our senses. It’s like the spreading of the Beer Virus…ubiquitous, unrelenting and without the respecting of persons in general. No one is totally immune to these much-needed changes, and if we stay observant and honest with ourselves, we can easily see there’s been something quite wrong about our “System” on this planet for a long, long time.
“Welcome, my son, Welcome to the machine...
What did you dream? It's alright,
we told you what to dream” - Pink Floyd
When a system becomes calcified, stratified, unworkable, and built upon a false premise and enforced by top-down hierarchy, you can bet your bottom dollar that the beneficial spiritual forces that we will call here the ‘Prime Creator(s)’ are facilitating the end of times as we have known them. This doesn’t imply that your personal choices (free will?) don’t play a part. They certainly can and do.
However, what if your choices have been engineered, nudged, and otherwise co-opted without your knowledge or consent? Then what kind of choice is that anyway? Since 9/11 and the rise of the Internet as marketplace and social influencer, we’ve been herded and groomed into beliefs and behaviours that in previous epochs we’d have never signed up for. You and I got hypnotized and bamboozled by the Five Horseman of the Apocalypse…Google, Facebook, Apple, Amazon and Microsoft. We thought the Silicon Gods would be the new Epoch, the New Age. Well, that New Age has metastasized into something that no one originally imagined. Welcome to The [Machine] Digital Age.
The old outworn Industrial Age is coughing and sputtering to a collapse of its own making. Indeed, that alone could make a huge impact in reducing human economic activity and the associated carbon emissions and general planet-trashing we’ve had a hand in since the 1870’s. And, we’re just at the cusp of this process. The political, religious, financial and social strata is being undermined from two fronts. The demise of the old power structures, and the rise of surveillance capitalism as self-proclaimed arbiter of our future. One problem above all others hasn’t even been seen though. The new capitalism is very dependent on fossil fuels…and your cooperation. It reigns supreme for the time being, but we are in danger if we think that the Internet of Things and 5G is the way forward. It’s patently not.
Hence the conflict between the two systems and ideologies are creating mass havoc and related stress. The Coronavirus, the hackneyed populism in many major governments, the reduction by stealth of individual rights or initiative, the rise of the entrepreneur (as the Silicon Gods have deemed worthy) all threaten our lives and or sanity. Mostly, things seem insane to many of us now because they ARE insane. Our inner knowing, or souls, or sovereign spiritual and human instincts recoil at the hubris, the pressure to survive, and the control paradigm of constant surveillance. Life, as imagined by these new forces, is to be reduced to a digital marketplace in which your behavioral surplus is harvested and then used against you to predict your next need, your next want, your next purchase. A worldwide culture insulated in certainty and predictability. A Life without Risk. The Black Mirror of Narcissism and Control is at the heart of all this. Is it any wonder that we feel that we are losing touch with Reality? We are…that’s the point.
I would like to mention something that is related to the above paragraph. The New Age self-help industry has contributed a great deal to a type of spiritual narcissism. While self-examination, healing traumas and the inward journey are important, and many were so convinced that doing so would catalyse a big Shift, it hasn't materialized outwardly. Objectively speaking it has only served as a misdirection from the essential collective focus that is required to address all apparent threats to the well-being of all beings, of all Life. Many have become lost in the suffering of the self, the spiritualizing the ego and bypassing. Without a coming together in the realm of the real, we will remain fragmented whilst proclaiming that “we’re all connected”.
Now all of this isn’t a hopeless scenario by any means. However, unless you expand your consciousness and grasp that what is occurring is not just because of human beings, but it is also fueled by invisible influences as well, one cannot get a grip on the multidimensional reasons for what the nuttiness is about. After all, if you can believe in nature spirits and angels, why not anything that may be hostile to humanity (and the planet)?
I’m not referring to space aliens invading the planet like in the Hollywood fiction of ‘Independence Day’. I am referring to what the ancient mystery schools taught about mind parasites, or Archons. These aren’t boogie men, and even though they are an artificial or synthetic life form, they are actually related to us in a weird sort of way…which is one of the reasons why humans become drawn to and lost in machines and technology.
The Native American culture called them “wetiko”. In Central and South American shamanic traditions they are referred to as the “flyers” or simply “the Watchers”. Sounds very Sci-Fi I know. But really, sometimes people don’t behave like human beings for more reasons than they just had the misfortune of having a crappy childhood. However, I do not advocate giving away your power to this revelation, or feeling like a victim in any way. We are responsible for our own mistakes, and for correcting them as best we can. That said, consider the possibility that our miscues can be exploited into something so fearful and debilitating that one can lose sight of all reason, especially the reasons for even continuing to live. I mention this because of the growing epidemic of suicide among young people since the advent of social media and smart devices. Mistakes that go uncorrected become evil by nature.
Whatever you engage with, becomes part of you. Conversely, what you choose to not engage with cannot influence or control you. The rabbit hole goes deep…so very deep, so it is in our own best interest and for the good of all that we do not allow the world’s craziness to become our own. Nor can we afford to become despondent or complacent or bury our heads in the sand.
There are numerous tips that I offer to assist my clients to reverse the seduction of tech, false pictures of reality, and misplaced belief. First is faith. Faith that there is an inherent benevolence in Spirit, or Goddess or the Universal. From my experience, Spirit never intended for us to live in this world of travail, conflict and death. The roots about how it got that way are super relevant, but those teachings are part of the larger body of my own mystery school which I will offering this year online and in live group settings.
Suffice it to say that what we see around us is not what was intended…or hoped for us originally. Nonetheless we are being called upon to figure it out, free ourselves and change our direction. Make no mistake…no one can do this completely in isolation or on their own. There’s loads of help for anyone that can say that they don’t know what to do and need divine guidance. The Universe responds to ASKING. Make that your second priority after Faith…just ask.
In closing I would like to say that there’s always hope. The hope I speak of is that we remind ourselves over and over again that there is a spark of the Divine that lives inside of us, and which can always help once we surrender our egoic pride. We are designed as co-Creators, original innovators, and like the wind and stars, we go ever on, and on, and on.
This planet is our Home in the Cosmos, and She is our Mother, and the co-Creator of our species and all the life we see around us. For this hope for a peaceful and abundant future to become a reality, we are all being called to shed many skins, and to grow at a pace our forbearers would never have conceived of.
Never ever give up. We are magical and made to rise again and again. With that I encourage you to stop pretending that you cannot do this or that, or be the greatest version of the grandest vision of Who You Are. That last bit is from the spiritual pioneer and author Neale Donald Walsch, and it’s a relevant now as it was when it graced the pages of his first book, Conversations with God.
I’ll be back with more revelations and soul-utions in the near future. Thanks for being here, and blessings on your journey.
I am available for free clarity calls and full consultations here.

Bastille Day – French Independence Day
As I started to write this on July 4th, the anniversary of America’s Declaration of Independence from the British monarchy in 1776, it has become evident that the revelations about the worldwide spying of the NSA by whistle-blower Edward Snowden represents a very definitive moment in the unfolding of human consciousness. This is a very big deal – possibly a divine fulcrum upon which the human species may redefine its way of living on this Planet. The alternative is unthinkable – an entropic spiral downwards, directed by the dictates of fear and an ever-constricted sense of being.
The NSA scandal dispels all remaining illusions about ‘free societies’, revealing a shadowy power behind the facade of normalcy. In the wake of these revelations, what I feel has been overlooked is the impact that this is having on the human psyche at subtler levels. Basically, the PRISM programs (among others) are an electronically engineered incursion into the global consciousness. It is, in essence, a covert war against Consciousness. Hitherto, other such ‘wars’ have been identified and researched – ‘The War on Terror’, genetically modified seeds, food additives, television, electromagnetic pollution, chemtrails, HAARP and other forms of social, political or biological manipulation have all been cited as part of the war on human consciousness.
There are no longer any borders or boundaries, and although a global awakening is well underway, the forces that resist change are becoming more visible and intransigent. As we continue imagining and experimenting with creating concepts that foster saner relationships with each other, the Earth and the Cosmos, it will be also become increasingly necessary to address the power that a relatively few individuals now hold over the lives of billions. Yes, there have been magnificent breakthroughs and revelations that demonstrate the futility of continuing under the old paradigm. However, it will be what we do during the times we now find ourselves in which will determine what life on Earth will look like in the near and far future. In the meantime, the ‘end times’ are upon us, and Armageddon is happening at this moment. We are all in it, and our choice is before us now.
I will not cite this or that fact or legal position about spying, security or whistle-blowing, for that plays into the energy of trying to debate this in the political or legalistic way, which is predicated on a formula to score points and [hopefully] to win an argument. Debating is useless, when the game is already rigged. What I mean to say is that up until recent times most of the population has been blissfully unaware of the pathology of pure political power, and the psychopathic element that has thoroughly infected most of the planetary structures (and has done so for centuries).
Right now we need to become aware of the toxicity of the Security State Mindset, hereafter referred to as ‘SSM’. The SSM is based on a default stance that all persons are potential suspects and criminals, and therefore they are possible political opponents that need monitoring and control. History is rife with examples of how indiscriminate use of information gathered in a secretive manner is used to manipulate individuals for political ends. Hegemonic power over others is a heady temptation.
In America, one of the worst modern examples was the McCarthy era in the middle years of the Eisenhower presidency. Journalist Edward R. Murrow’s scathing editorials about those abuses were probably the only antidote that broke the spell McCarthy had woven about the Communist ‘menace’ in the United States. It was a witch hunt, pure and simple. Since the 1950’s the power and reach of the intelligence agencies has grown exponentially, and along with it there has been a coordinated effort to reduce the amount of knowledge available about their activities to their political masters and the civilian populations. There are strategic reasons for this, not the least of which is monetary (black ops budgets could probably feed and provide shelter for most of the world’s hungry and homeless). Their rationale for redacting information about their actions are always for ‘reasons of national security’. This dodge is always rolled out to deflect the merely curious or any over-zealous libertarian campaigners for more governmental transparency. We are treated as children, or serfs, and cannot question our ‘betters’.
The explosion of computer and wireless technologies in the 1980’s and 1990’s has been the main reason for the SSM’s ability to do what no totalitarian regime in humanity’s past could ever dream about...the ability to covertly create policy, influence and manipulate information, and exercise extra-legal powers over virtually everyone. Instead of having to obtain a court order for tapping a phone line, or following a suspect into a dark alley, the spy clubbers can merely do it digitally, without any risk of detection that would attract an objection or a court-issued restraining order. Data protection laws and constitutional guarantees are now meaningless to the digital spy. What is appalling is that the very rationale of spying and subterfuge for the ‘common good’ undermines our inherent mutual respect for feel for other human beings. There is an attempt to program into human consciousness the possibility that no one can be trusted.
When we meet someone else in a bar or cafe, on the street, on a social networking site or in social setting, we expect a certain respect for our personal space and privacy…or at least we used to. When our trust has been violated by another, whether true or only perceived, we object to that person’s crossing the line without permission. Depending on an individual’s sensitivity, one recognizes when our psychic space has been compromised. We instinctively move away, or verbally object. Conversely, when we share our authenticity and trust in another, we are assuming that this will be returned in kind. The SSM now does this with impunity, and with your implicit consent, using the argument of ‘your safety and security’ to justify its invasion into your psychic space. Legal arguments are deflected by the passing of new laws and regulations that continually dilute previous protections.
To continue to ignore this will not solve anything. You and I possess what are called ‘unalienable rights’ that are not conferred to us by any other human being. Some of these rights have been expressed in various documents like the Magna Carta and the U.S. Bill of Rights. They stand as truths that are ‘self-evident’, and require no adjudication or legal debate to validate their authentic source, which is beyond human activity and resides solely in our divine Source. No matter what religion or ethnic background you may identify with, we are all children of One Benevolent Source.
We do ourselves a great disrespect by ignoring or succumbing to the seemingly endless problems and crises parading across our awareness, and the underlying fear that is being deliberately created to promulgate the constant tension. We are diminished by the avalanche of laws and regulations that we have allowed to be heaped upon our shoulders. We are first and foremost individually responsible for our own liberation, our own quest for inner peace and reconciliation, and in doing so we demonstrate to others what being a real and whole human being looks like. However, part of this responsibility also demands us to demonstrate our consciousness for the freedom of all our fellow human beings. That requires trusting our own wisdom source, and the courage to speak the truth to those who abuse power and/or the public trust, and who also invariably become reluctant to relinquishing it.
The first step is to no longer allow ourselves to feel victimized. If the world is reflecting our thoughts 24/7, then how do we actually change the world into a reflection of our inner vision of true peace? Is this even appropriate, given that each soul’s free will is part of their divine sovereignty? Even as we are an infinite expression of Consciousness we are also simultaneously individuals, capable of what appears to be independent action – even actions that another might consider to be wrong or dangerous. Embodying harmlessness is the way of the Heart. To choose harmlessness does not remove us from the playing field of life, and it does not ask us to be silent or compliant. All abuse is self-abuse, as all betrayal is self-betrayal. This dynamic is easily understood when studying the nature of co-dependent relationships. We choose to avoid confrontation, out of fear of rejection or judgment, which stems from an erroneous self-image. Then, when we are treated badly, we project our inner judge on to the other. What we blame others for we are unconscious of in ourselves. When applied to the larger picture, we may feel as if we have limited options or range of actions. However, if we can remind ourselves of our inherent value, then as Frodo Baggins was told in the movie ‘Lord of the Rings’, any one of us may change the course of the future. If that is so, are we not obliged to call upon the greatest within us? Or, shall we seek safety - the temporary and false safety of the SSM over the human/divine spirit? When we see ourselves differently, then the mirror must reflect that image.
The SSM seeks to create an artificial unity and safety blanket through coercion and force. This will ultimately fail, as it is a distorted copy of the freedom already inherent within the Unity of all things. If we are to realize the liberation of the human spirit from the past we will need to renounce the false gift offered, for it carries a cost that is too great to bear…our own Soul Essence. Every person who selects this false gift delays their own liberation, and may create or extend the suffering of others (“Lo, troubles will come. But woe to them through whom the troubles come” – Jesus of Nazareth). This is the choice I mentioned at the end of third paragraph. There is no neutrality in this dimension, and all the great spiritual sages have been aware of this and have been at odds with the power structures of their times.
Love is not neutral. We cannot profess to love and not demonstrate that Love. We can no longer seek safety in the things of this world, no matter how attractive, for by doing so we enslave ourselves to the past. Our safety is in remembering that we are Infinite Life and Consciousness. If we trade that inalienable spiritual knowledge for temporal safety, we choose death before we have died. There is a quote from Meg Cabot’s book ‘The Princess Diaries’ worth repeating here: “The brave may not live forever, but the cautious do not live at all.”
We are Love incarnate. We are the Light of the World. Each soul is here to fulfil a role, a place in these times that no one else could occupy so perfectly. We can come together and create a unity of purpose that chooses sanity and compassion over separation and mistrust. You are here to be free and live your joy. This means that it is an error to be viewed as a potential threat, when you know better. Part of our maturing spirituality is to recognize that we have the power to say no as well as yes.
Saying no to external authority is saying yes to your own power to honor the inner authority of your Consciousness. When enough of us do that, then we will have discovered how safe we’ve been all along.
If you could take practical action that is in alignment with your personal philosophy and spiritual understanding, what would that look like? Writing letters to your political representatives may get you a nice form letter, but not usually not much else.
I would like to invite your ideas and perspectives for creating new responses to challenge the current mindset of fear. Gandhi’s methods of non-compliance were employed with great effect by Rev. Martin Luther King. However, with the imposition of ‘free speech zones’ and the myriad maze of permit applications and bureaucratic red tape required to just organize a demonstration, we are now challenged to invent new and creative methods that will achieve similar if not better results. For an example of how protest has been marginalized in western nations, watch this interview with Naomi Wolf on Fake Activism - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urh4GA6JmPg
I thought of a ‘stare-in’, whereby a large group of individuals…maybe a huge group of individuals, comes together via texting or instant messaging and just stands in front of the home or office of any politician, NSA official, or whomever, and just stares in silence in their general direction. I call it organic surveillance. No placards, no banners, no talk. Just…silence.
If you have any clever ideas, just post them in the comments section on this blog, or email them to me at email@example.com. Thanks for your participation.

I've just finished reading a book entitled "You Are Not a Gadget" by Jaron Lanier, and I highly recommend it. Yes, a real book. Not an e-book, or a Kindle book, or a downloadable .PDF book. A physical book made with physical paper, from physical trees (or recycled physical cardboard) and physical ink. Quaint, huh? It's not exactly an enjoyable read, but it may be an important read. It's about creativity, the Internet, social networking, and the question of personhood. Are we in charge of our technology, or is our technology now shaping us in ways we never imagined. And, is it healthy? Do those who are at the cutting edge of VR (virtual reality) and AI (artificial intelligence) sufficiently aware to be entrusted with the future of mankind? These are the sort of big questions the book poses, and, it was written by a Silicon Valley insider that has been at the forefront of the developing technological revolution known as the World Wide Web, and who is paradoxically one of its harshest critics.
Here are a couple of quotes to ponder on: "If you want to know what's really going on in a society or ideology, follow the money. If money is flowing to advertising instead of musicians, journalists and artists, then society is more concerned with manipulation than truth or beauty. If content is worthless, then people will start to become empty-headed and contentless", and "Humans are free. We can commit suicide for the benefit of a Singularity (Web 2.0). We can engineer our genes to better support an imaginary hive mind. We can make culture and journalism into second-rate activities and spend centuries remixing the detritus of the 1960's and other eras before individual creativity went out of fashion. Or we can believe in ourselves. By chance, it might turn out we are real", and finally; "The deep meaning of personhood is being reduced to an illusion of bits."
My recent personal experiences with social networking and my forays into designing websites have brought me to a spiritual and intellectual impasse. When I am spending time in nature, or conversing with someone else while in their physical presence, compared with the experience of the immediacy of online sound-bites or artificial landscapes of Facebook, I am becoming more and more aware of a feeling of discontentedness with the noosphere and the hive mind, the proposed Singularity of digital self-images. I feel less like a person than I used to!
Years ago in the heyday of my channeling work, Archangel Ariel described the Internet as the 'outernet', an artificial construct of the human neural net and the collective unconscious. A little while later, I met a well-known astrologer and spiritual teacher who had published many 'new age' books, and was dumbfounded to discover that she refused to engage with the World Wide Web. She had no email address, and relied on others to publish and update her website. You want to contact her? Send a piece of mail via the post! Her explanation was that the Web was completely 4th Dimensional, or of the Astral realm, and as such was polluted with distortions, dramas, and manipulative influences. In short, to dive into the hive mind without taking into account the risks of exposure, one could become enamoured with the sense of 'we-ness' and lose track of the real WWW, the higher-order spiritual reality of which we are all a part. Obviously, it is paradoxical that I am presenting this perspective (and my own!) via an instrument of the Internet - the ubiquitous e-zine newsletter. [Personally speaking, I'd enjoy this interaction more if we could all be sitting together enjoying a drink and chatting.]
It is interesting to look at the language of Cyberspace for the clues. We're so adept at naming things for what they are, then ignoring the consequences. In the past, the word 'web' was applied to the technology of spiders, or to denote a trap of some kind. Now we assume it describes a social and spiritual mechanism that frees humanity from many perceived constraints and limits. Perhaps the promise of the Singularity is a betrayal, and we would do well to heed the warnings of someone like Jaron Lanier. Trust your instincts, develop your discernment and delve into your Self. I suppose what I'm favouring here is organic realism versus digital copies of realism. Even though we have become all too familiar with Matrix-like themes about the nature of 'organic' models in the multiverses and our infantile understandings about the nature of Consciousness, we would do well to appreciate a natural flesh and blood humanity versus a cloned cyber-copy. I have no love of being inserted into any virtual reality, where my sense of self is embedded in an avatar. I say this not because I am a hater of technology, but because I love, and a chip of silicon circuitry does not.
I encourage you to consider that the promise of the web could easily be turned into a tyranny of sorts. Reducing ourselves to some common digital denominator for the sake of group consciousness/consensus can become such a tyranny. Individuation of Consciousness is the anti-thesis to what the progenitors of Singularity envision, and I celebrate that our spiritual potential is worth elevating above hive mindedness. An current example would be the real people occupying Wall Street, versus Tweeting about it on the Net. The street and the coffee shop will be where the r-evolution is played out, not in cyberspace. Welcome to the Real.
