![]() By Isaac George Oct 23rd, 2018 “Stars impel, they do not compel.” – Chaldean Astrology Being human these days is almost becoming a revolutionary act. The Internet and social media always beckon, our devices and faith in technology tends to obscure the significance of our own biological landscape, and our quasi-divine origins. Enlightenment won’t be found anytime soon in a smartphone, or another meme. From the astrological perspective, the Show Just Goes On…and on and on. Can’t stop it, or slow it down. If you try, it might just run you over. Tomorrow’s another Full Moon, but it’s more than that. The involved planets and the archetypes are mirroring our predicament, and sheds a big light on some possible solutions. As individuals and as a species our challenges are numerous and obvious. We ignore climate change, water scarcity, and environmental damage and destruction at our own risk. The potential for rapid personal growth and understanding are there too, but it most certainly is tempered by the sobering fact that everything and everyone has an influence on the whole…and vice versa. The Full Moon is in Taurus and conjoined in the sky with the planet of Love and the Feminine = Venus. She’s in Scorpio and retrograded (turning focus inwards and investigative). Emotions will run high and deep right up to the Full Moon slated to occur at 3:49pm British Summer Time, and 6:49am Pacific Daylight Time. After the zenith of totality is past, the pressure cooker of the past two weeks will begin to lessen. But wait, there’s more! (see chart below) Venus is opposed by another retrograde powerhouse – Uranus in Taurus. Since Uranus entered the sign of the Bull in mid-May, he’s been stirring up the fires under the surface, resulting in major earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, climate events, and economic ones too. With it opposing Venus and the Moon, and conjunct the Sun at 1 degree of Scorpio, anything goes. It could trigger a surprise, a blessing, or a realization. Loving the Earth and the Natural World may become a sudden epiphany for some. Another manifestation might be a big correction in stock markets, or some ugly confrontation or dirty secret coming to light about the economy, politics, or the environment that may shock or surprise us. Lastly the Full Moon and Uranus-Venus oppositions are squaring the Nodes of the Moon in Leo and Aquarius. This will activate the need to focus intensely on what is happening in the fullness of NOW! It is a lens through which we see the mistakes of the past and the way to move forwards into the future. With the South Node in Aquarius, it will be about revealing our deep memories of failed Utopian civilizations like Atlantis or Lemuria, and all the wounding and regret they engendered. With the North Node in Leo, it will be a last chance review about how courage, especially spiritual courage centered in the heart, will be the primary way to move forwards with the work there is to do in front of us. The Nodes will change signs soon too…and move into Cancer and Capricorn in mid-November. On a personal level relationships both past and current are lit up. So are the core issues karmic and otherwise that are related to our relationships, especially mother-father ones, and archetypal ones (God the Father?) All relating is undergoing pressures to evolve too, and Pluto (Scorpio) is certainly at play here with the Sun and Venus in that sign now. In summary, no single celestial event has the power to change us. Only we have that within. With the calculations and archetypes involved, my take is that there is a clear message for tomorrow about how we are called to value our humanity more, to see it as truly divine and superior to our technologies. Our predilections, our foibles, even our most disastrous beliefs and mistakes, can’t obscure the potential for love, joy, humour and kindness that we are capable of. Our bodies are more than temples, and our lives are more than dust. We are stardust, and mud, and emotions. We are human beings. We belong here, and we are being called to rise to the challenge of creating a new world from the ashes of the old. *Isaac George works as an intuitive spiritual mentor and evolutionary astrologer, author, public speaker and workshop leader.
