![]() by Isaac George March 27th, 2015 Well, here we go again… The period between eclipses is usually a bit odd, but this one is feeling odder than most. The last time I noticed this type of feeling was around mid-April 2014. Of course that was another ‘supermoon’ lunar eclipse that led into the Grand Cross in Cardinal Signs on April 23rd. What makes this lunation loony is that the degrees and signs in which it occurs are very familiar…in fact, very close to the setup of last April’s Grand Cross! I’ll describe the astrology of this first, then add my commentary as to how we navigate and utilize the energy of it. Look to the bottom of this post for a images of this Eclipse chart and of last year’s Grand Cross on April 23rd. This Lunar Eclipse chart has the Sun at 14 degrees Aries, and the Moon at 14 Libra. There’s more than that going on though. Look at the chart and you’ll see that there’s a “fez” made up of the contact of four other players: The asteroids Juno and Vesta, and the planets Mars and Saturn. Retrograde Jupiter in Leo rounds things out by trining (easy aspect) the Sun-Uranus combination. It also forms an uncomfortable quincunx (150 degree angle) to Pluto. In other words…lots of activations in a number of themes. And most of those themes center in the area that was the focus last April – relating and relationships. Remember that the middle degrees of the Cardinal signs are involved; Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn. What’s most important to remember is that the middle degrees and last degrees of any sign exert the more powerful influence. Okay, that’s the astrological geometry of things, now to the possible influences and/or experiences. What does this all mean to us? Eclipses are always triggered when the Sun gets close to the Nodes of the Moon (Rahu and Ketu in Vedic parlance – the Head and Tail of the Dragon!). The North Node represents our Biggest Desire (Soul Mission); the South Node is our Biggest Unconscious Pattern (Fear). Both of these points are closest to the two elements making up the Eclipse itself and the luminaries of the Sun and Moon ‘light up’ or bring into sharper contrast that which needs to be ‘seen’. "A whole series of Aries-Libra lunations have been a regular feature during the ongoing Uranus-Pluto square-dance, since October 2013 actually, so this event may be akin to the Last Dance on the ballroom floor." In a Lunar Eclipse the Earth’s shadow blocks out the Moon from the light of the Sun, so this one will have quite a different feel from the Solar Eclipse March 20th. The emphasis will be on illuminating relationship issues, and any unseen or unfinished business that needs to be addressed before bringing to conclusion any partnerships or relationships. Now relationships can be of all types here, so I encourage you to broaden the meaning beyond marriage partners. However, I feel that most of the pressure will be brought to bear on resolving and ending any situation that has been winding down over the past two-three years. A whole series of Aries-Libra lunations have been a regular feature during the ongoing Uranus-Pluto square-dance, since October 2013 actually, so this event may be akin to the Last Dance on the ballroom floor. This will be especially profound for those natives who have planets or angles in their charts that correspond to the Cardinal signs (Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn). Hang on…it’s going to be a bumpy ride before, during and for some time after this Eclipse! There is a great need to release and to express at the same time under this influence. The releasing is the expression, and vice versa. A sudden unburdening about true needs or wants, and how they have been suppressed will create a tsunami that can easily swamp a fragile situation. Emotions will run high and hot…maybe with some anger and resentment. There will be Tears instead of Blood (Moon), and tears are a form of releasing the energy expended to keep the pent up frustrations in place around those wants or needs! Of course Libra wants to be fair and diplomatic, and seek reason and compromise. And of course Aries wants what it has been denying for itself for so long…and it wants it now! Immovable object is met by irresistible force. Flaws in the edifice will be revealed, and the house of cards will collapse. With the proximity of the Nodes, this is your soul calling, and you better pick up the phone! So, it all depends on how these points are triggered with any particular person, or in the relationship chart of a couple. These recommendations can be applied to any member of one’s family, a friendship, a business relationship, or lovers or soulmates seeking to move forward together. If any relationship so affected is strong enough and founded on mutual resonance and honesty, negotiations can be enacted. Tensions will still be there, but this is a requirement for both people to grow out of a form that no longer serves either one. It is a truth or consequences time…and there may be a few added nuances from the Fez participants. Juno in Leo is about what is the heart of the relationship about, it's purpose? Vesta in Pisces seeks out divine guidance about the nature of true devotion to one’s own calling (or a relationship matter). Mars in Taurus is taking action and assertiveness in a grounded and balanced way. Saturn in Sagittarius is finding and understanding the truth of the matter (or where there's been deception). So, it all depends on how these points are triggered with any particular person, or in the relationship chart of a couple. These recommendations can be applied to any member of one’s family, a friendship, a business relationship, or lovers or soulmates seeking to move forward together. One thing I don’t really envision during this Eclipse is some significant world event taking place. However, it is always dangerous to say that when Uranus is hanging about, so close to 14 degrees of Aries. Other factors are to be taken into consideration for how things have been feeling since the Solar Eclipse on March 20th. Last week our planet was on the receiving end of a powerful geomagnetic storm, which feels to some like being out of their body most of the time. It was triggered by a large and intense X4 Class coronal mass ejection that our Sun sent to us a few days before last Friday. Some have speculated that this may have influenced a Lufthansa airline pilot to go rogue, and deliberately crash his jet into a French mountainside killing all 150 people on board. This pilot was apparently suffering an emotional disturbance and he probably should have been grounded and not allowed in the cockpit of an airliner. A few astrologers have looking at his natal chart to the current eclipse charts found some tipping points that may have contributed. I doubt the Lufthansa investigators will look at that as evidence though. "All these influences will change the complexion and feel of things quite significantly. We’ll have more energy freed up for moving forward with all projects and plans, and for any work that needs to be done over the spring and early summer to disentangle ourselves from any old contracts or obligations." What about after the Lunar Eclipse? Well, I feel that these two eclipses are like strategic moves in a chess game, not an end game. We still have a long Saturn retrograde ahead of us, another pair of eclipses in the second half of the year, other factors such as Jupiter in Leo going direct on April 9th and Pluto stationing retrograde April 17th. All these influences will change the complexion and feel of things quite significantly. We’ll have more energy freed up for moving forward with all projects and plans, and for any work that needs to be done over the spring and early summer to disentangle ourselves from any old contracts or obligations. We’re about 8 days until the big day, which falls oddly between the Christian calendar dates of Good Friday and Easter. Blood moon indeed! However, do not allow yourself to be spooked by an apocalyptic pronouncements…they’ll distract you from what’s really important. Take care of your needs. Take care of your body. Get earthed or grounded. Use Epsom salt baths. Gentle exercising and nutritious food are a pre-requisite when the energy is like it is. If you need communication to happen with another, but mindful and listen well. Clear and honest communication will be important at this time. Some of what I’ve been reading encourages us watch our thoughts and emotional reactions, as this is a very potent time for magnetizing what you desire to have in your life and that is aligned with your true Soul needs to come into manifestation. If you get frayed or fearful, you may just get what you don’t want! Try to keep your focus on what you envision as if it has already come into your life, and keep working with any old emotional blocks or fears that arise. Remember that these are nothing more than artefacts in your karmic past, and I do not recommend blame and shame as a strategy! However, expressing your Truth and choosing a new route is the recommended. Remember, do it from your heart, or don’t do it at all. With love, Isaac MARCH SPECIAL OFFER! ![]() by Isaac George March 22nd, 2015 This is the last instalment in a special three-part series for March 2015. If you missed the first segment, click here to read it. To read the second instalment, click here. March 22nd to April 4th “Desires of the Heart” (or, “if not now, when? And... "if not you, then who?”) One of the main things that many people misunderstand about astrology is that the celestial bodies that surround the Earth do not compel us to ‘be’ or ‘do’ anything in particular. They do influence, impel, and cajole us. They do affect us in the way that barometric pressure can cause us to feel more ‘up’ or ‘down’. Our emotions are similar, seemingly arising out of nothing…a memory, or because of something someone says or does, and all of a sudden we feel overtaken and compelled into an experience of FEELING something we were not feeling a few moments earlier. Such is the way of astrology, but there’s more to it than that. You may have heard the maxim “as above, so below”. There’s another one – “as within, so without”. My studies and experience have shown me that the archetypes in astrology, and psychology for that matter, are reflective and instructive. In other words, you and I are collectively manifesting the ‘out there’ from the ‘in here’. Perhaps the celestial alignments look like some kind of clockwork mechanism that impersonally holds human destiny in its grip, but I don’t think that’s the whole picture. Simply stated, we may be influenced, provoked, impelled, and even compelled at times to express, or respond to these things called ‘transits’, but they also provide us with an amazing opportunity to learn and grow from how we either respond or react to them. In other words, we all evolve together – us, the other species on the planet, the Planet Herself, and the rest of our Galaxy, and perhaps the whole Cosmos. It is all connected…somehow. ![]() Lastly, there’s a growing body of evidence within the new bio-sciences that is beginning to recognize how we are affected by electro-magnetic fields, whether solar or artificial. Our biology is a like a transmitter-receiver, constantly emitting a set of frequencies generated by our consciousness and soul-self, and at the same time we are sensitive to one degree or another to outside stimuli from the deepest parts of interstellar space to the crying child in the shopping trolley in front of you at the grocery store. As I see it, as soon as a newborn child’s body is exposed to the atmosphere here on starship Earth, it is imprinted with the subtle energies of its parents, the surroundings and the low-level radio emanations that are emitted by Earth and every other planet or star surrounding our world. This forms the unique energies and patterns we use in astrology…based on the positions and attributes of these celestial forms at the moment and location of a human nativity. That brings us to today’s topic, which is about our dreams, desires and our hearts, the “Big Why” about your being here at this time. But before I get to that, I will recap what’s on for the week ahead. As I write this we are past the last exact square of Uranus-Pluto, the Solar Eclipse and the Equinox. However, I want to remind the reader that the effects of these events will be felt for some time to come. Eclipses have a shelf life of around six months. The Uranus-Pluto relationship will continue to be in effect until the spring of 2016, when they finally start to separate away from each other. Another thing to remember about the Uranus-Pluto cycle is that major social and related events seem to crop up in the world around 2-4 years AFTER the actual transit is completed. The last cycle before this one was Uranus-Pluto conjunct in Virgo. That ended in 1965, but it took almost three years until some of the major events of the 1960’s were manifested; the Civil Rights movement, the Vietnam war and the student protests, the assassinations of Martin Luther King and Robert F.Kennedy, the riots at the Democratic National Convention in 1968, the election of Nixon, and the incursions and saturation bombings of Cambodia and Laos all manifested as a symptom of wide-ranging shifts in consciousness. Not all of what happened was negative, and that won’t be the case this time. All ‘negative’ events are of one polarity to stimulate a new awareness. What may be really different about this cycle is that the Eclipse at the last degree of Pisces on the 20th of March sets the stage for a more equal or non-polarized awakening process. We’re hopefully moving away from the ‘either/or’ mentality and more into the ‘both/and’ inclusiveness of the Aquarian perspective. For the next week or so, and leading up to the Lunar Eclipse on April 4th, we will still be in the early stages of ‘letting go’ and absorbing the meaning of what has happened so far. Although other astrologers have pronounced the Solar Eclipse last Friday as the ultimate ‘let go’ or break with the past, I feel it is the starting point, and those of us who still have unfinished business will use the time of the Saturn retrograde this year, or the remains of the Uranus-Pluto cycle, to tidy up any loose ends gracefully, and then move on. While minoring in letting go, this is a fertile time to allow the possibility to arise that maybe you don’t know exactly what it is your ‘mission’ is really about yet. Even while you are busy moving your plans and projects forward, spend a little time each day in reverie (meditation) asking your soul to bring forward any visions or wisdom you may have overlooked in your excitement about ‘having it all.’ You’ll need to major in your Desire, while still minoring in that which keeps you from having it. Please choose being happy over being right. Now is the time that is ripe for it, especially if there’s fear or confusion lurking about. Nothing wrong about confusion though…so use it as a tool to discover your next step. With the Sun getting to 3 degrees plus of Aries by Tuesday, we’ll be sensing a bit more excitement about moving forward with everything. Clarity begins to return…things feel a bit easier. Don’t get too ahead of yourself with Mars still in Aries, or you could feel too impulsive or impatient for your own good. It may look like others are holding you back, or restraining you, but that’s a perception in reaction to an energy that’s up for everyone just now. Unexpected delays or obstacles may arise. Breathe…this too shall pass. We have all read and heard loads for months about 2015 being the year into which we can realize a new level of creativity, access, achievement and self-worth. Now that the actual Solar year is underway with the Sun in Aries, I’d like to add a new wrinkle to this. Our dreams and our desires are for a feeling…a feeling of experiencing that anything is possible now, and to actually see our dreams become a reality in our lives. This is a time to aim high and to consider the process and possibility of miracles (versus magic). A movie character in the Men in Black series described miracles as “something that looks impossible, but happens anyway.” That dude was from the 5th Dimension (not the pop group), so he gets to say cool stuff like that. Right, back to my point… ![]() The trick this year will be to explore, and reveal, your truth, your mission, your way of being in the world…without censoring, without hiding and without apology. Oh, a certain type of courage will be required to manage this miracle of you. It’s called faith in one’s own inherent divinity within our human consciousness. Now this is different from narcissistic tendencies which often are shallow in their concerns and driven by ego images. This is real core Soul directed stuff, and you will no longer seek to please others for the sake of social comfortableness. Learning to say “yes” to your own vulnerability and authenticity will require an equal fortitude to being able to say “no” to others when it’s appropriate…and sometimes necessary! It will alter the way we work with boundaries for sure, but it will also be a way of giving permission for more honesty and transparency for everyone. Sure, there will still be a transitional period, where most of the population won’t catch on or be comfortable with the ‘new’ you. Releasing and forgiveness will be part of the process. Trust in yourself will be the cornerstone. ![]() Being more spontaneous, more in Yintegrity* is the Feminine at play and at work. Currently “planning” is very much a part of the patriarchal philosophy of “this is how we get things done around here”. With the new energies, that will have to be absorbed and reinvented into something else, although what that will look like may not be apparent for a half a decade or so. One thing I feel though is that it will be women who will be reinventing the recipe for what success really is, as opposed to the top down power model of capitalism and patriarchy. The biggest trapdoor for this will be to make sure that none of us sell out our souls for some glitzy dream that belongs to the old way of manifesting. We’re into miracles here, so the old rules won’t apply. The heart of the matter will be the Heart Itself, and how we FEEL about ourselves and how our creations will empower others. The Heart is gaining prominence, and there’s no turning back the clock. There’s a whole field of bio-science studying the qualities and powers of the human heart, and we are just at the baby steps stage in understanding where the seat of our intelligence really resides. The mind-body connection is becoming the heart-mind-body connection. As a fetus gestates, the first organ to form is the heart, before the brain even comes into being. To lead from the desires of the heart, is to put the balance between heart and head back where it was before there was a patriarchy. Living in harmony with one’s own soul and desires will be necessary before we develop enough empathy to see that our choosing our own dreams are a way to serve others. And in doing so, we must eventually get in tune with Nature and the planet if we are to not just survive as a species, but to also ensure the survival of the Planet too. Cooperation is possibly the new definition and formula for “success”. This may require us to re-evaluate what success really does mean for us, and for every other life form we co-exist with. The stakes are huge, and the opportunities are too. Creating a heaven on Earth isn’t just about you or I and our individual dreams. It’s about Us, the community of We. As you do it for yourself, you do it to everyone, and vice versa. The new spirituality will not be a religion, or a movement. It will be the recognition of each person as a unique individuation of the Heart of hearts. This is one of the functions of Saturn’s transit in Sagittarius for the next 2 and-a-half years…transcendence of religion and dogma, and the separation anxiety its created. So wish upon a star, or your vision board, but stand in a place of awe and wonder with it all. Just like you did as a child, really regard your deepest longings as completely okay to pursue and to realize. The author Tom Robbins’ once said, “Dreams don’t come true, they are true.” Will we allow ourselves to have our heart’s desire? I am choosing to believe in the impossible, with the sure knowing that a miracle is about to occur. Remember...do it from the heart, or not at all. Look up at the stars…remember who you are. Be that. See you next week with a short post about the Lunar Eclipse on April 4th. And in the meantime…get to dreaming, and being, and doing. Blessings, Isaac *Yintegrity: Yin = Feminine Principle. If you are not savvy with astrology terminology or the use of archetypes, the technical side can be a bit daunting and distracting. I’ll try to minimize the astro-babble and focus on the feel and meaning of these times, and more importantly, how best to respond to them. For those of you who do follow astrology, and know a bit about your own charts, the areas of highest sensitivity for this month are planets, asteroids or chart angles between the 8th to 17th degrees of Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn, and Leo. This is the second installment in a three-part series. If you missed the first segment, click here to read it. Week of March 15th to the 21st – “Mission…Possible!” “We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful what we pretend to be.” Kurt Vonnegut We begin the week fully in the energy of the 7th and final square between Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn. This will occur this Tuesday, March 16th, at 2:22am GMT (UT). There are also some significant triggers preceding this point, such as Saturn turning retrograde at 4 degrees of Sagittarius yesterday (March 14th) and the Moon meeting up with Pluto in Capricorn today at 9:19am GMT (UT). This coming Friday there is a partial Solar Eclipse at 29 degrees of Pisces at 9:35am GMT (UT), followed by the Spring Equinox when the Sun ingresses into Aries at 10:46pm GMT (UT). All charts are provided at the end of this article. For more detailed information about the Solar Eclipse, just click here. Now that that’s handled, I’ll flesh out my feeling/knowing about what’s happening… We are all on a ‘mission’. Our souls have a big agenda, or we wouldn’t be here at this time on this world. One of the things about this notion is that it is essential to see that everyone else is on a mission too, so you have loads of company, and no one is better or lesser equipped than another; just uniquely equipped, as it were. I’ve titled this blog “Mission…Possible!” because in spite of there being so much change and flux and intensity, this is not a negative situation we find ourselves in. Sure, letting go of the familiar, even that which has been a fixture of love, attention, security or familiarity in our lives looks “negative”, or is viewed as a loss, as this is a judgment from our ego. Face it, egos dislike change….intensely. But the new landscape will be quite different from our old familiar territory. Our egos (our little kid) have been under a lot of pressure during the Uranus-Pluto cycle, which really began in the summer of 2012. We must deal with all the hurts, disappointments and injustices it suffered over the decades since we arrived here. All this got really triggered after the 6th Square, around Dec.15th, 2014. Secondly, it does not like feeling abandoned or ignored. It has NEEDS, and we better listen to it or else we’re going to find ourselves dragging a squirming tantrum into the future with us. None of us will be able to afford that bill as this year progresses. In order to fully manifest and realize our purpose for being here, we will have to integrate our unconscious bits quite dramatically, and also very lovingly and compassionately. Part of this work centers around redefining our view about our natures. We are human, and we do possess a spark of divinity, a quality of self-awareness and imagination. However, we are also human animals, and do share a connection to the Gaia, the planetary consciousness, and all of the other biological forms here. Our planet is also known as the Magna Mater – the “Great Mother.” Actually, that’s an old Gnostic term for Nature in general, no matter where it arises in the Cosmos. They also called her “Sophia”, the Wisdom Goddess, and wisdom is a weapon we’ll need after the major shifting we currently find ourselves embroiled in. We are all interconnected in a profound way, as if we were one organism, with each person constellated in such a way as to provide a particular service or gift to all other parts of ‘us’ that are in need of such support. This is the basis for real communing, or community. It is touted as the primary quality of the coming Age of Aquarius. One aspect of the Solar Eclipse this Friday is that the Sun and Moon meet at 29 degrees of Pisces, the ultimate end of a Zodiacal cycle that began around 200 B.C.E. In other words, the imminent end of the Great Age of Pisces may be upon us. Look at the glyph for Pisces…two Fish swimming in opposite directions. This represents the rise of self-reflection, the expansion of the ego, and the sense of separateness from Nature and each other that has marked this Age. Perspectives were “either/or”, and hardly ever, “both/and”. It gave rise to Darwinian Theory, competition, scarcity and poverty consciousness, etc. One might argue that this began when agriculture was invented, and we stopped living in small foraging tribes. However, during the last 2,200 years we really excelled in creating a power over, victim-perpetrator game that has brought us to the edge of ecocide, and species extinction. Our psyches are exhausted and trying to catch up with the evolutionary pressures brought to bear. We are extolled to “evolve or perish” now, and it is imperative that we do so to avert disaster. Years ago I read a book entitled “The Coming of the Feminine Christ”, by Dr.Niamh Clune. The standout quote from this work was “only the Awakened Heart can avert the apocalypse.” I strongly feel that is a truth worth reflecting upon as we encounter the planetary agents of change in our midst. Our hearts must awaken, our souls must be given reign over the egoist concerns of survival and personality. This is the test of Uranus in Aries, which is the Sacred Warrior of the Aquarian principle facing up to Pluto in Capricorn, the defender of the Established Order of the previous Age. Each archetype has a light and shadow aspect. On the dark side Uranus is change at all costs and Pluto is ruthless about power. The enlightened side of Uranus is community, and the expansion of “Yintegrity”, or doing what you want when you want to. The shiny side of Pluto (is there one?) is deep and profound shamanic transformation, leading to lasting change, whether you personally like it or not. New opportunities are before us. We are called upon to own our mastery, our mission. I am coming to view the term “mastery” in a new way, more like a kind of Jedi Knight. Instead of some impossible ideal of divine-human perfectionism, this mastery is about full authenticity and vulnerability. Sometimes we can flow with the Force, and achieve amazing things. Sometimes, the Force does not cooperate, and we need to just grow still, nurture ourselves and listen. At other times we can wield the power within us at will, and at other times, it’s Will with have its way with us. Wisdom comes from listening to the ebb and flow and responding, rather than pushing and shoving. Trying to do 'power over', with all the inherent abuses, is not going to work anymore. Everyone is becoming too sensitive to the amount of fraud rampant on the planet right now, and any attempts to use power to gain an advantage over another will boomerang. Let’s just say that karma may be instantaneous, and leave it at that. Yes, practicality will be required. Getting your hands dirty and working hard will definitely be required. That’s Saturn for you. The next cycle we enter is Saturn-Neptune, and it will require discernment, hard work, and also a respect for process of bringing ideas and ideals into form. Not everything you want, or think you want, will be necessarily good for you or for others. This is the Neptune part…releasing your dreams and desires to your Soul for a more balanced manifestation to materialize. As previously stated, we still have to contend with the Old Order, the 1% who refuse to give up their greed and ‘power over’ game. Be careful it doesn't infect your heart’s true desires. Our Response-Ability: There will be a bit less pushing and shoving with Saturn going into retrograde. That doesn’t mean you will be idle and contemplating your navel till August 2nd. What it means is that this is a time of review. Your course may be cluttered with pictures of reality that no longer serve you, or others. The past may be incompatible with your present and your vision (mission, desire) for the future. This is like “remedial lessons” time for some folks…another chance to tidy up loose ends before really moving into your Soul’s direction. Uranus-Pluto will ask you to move from horizontal reference to vertical reference. Connect within, and connect to Galactic Core (7th Chakra) and Sophia-Gaia-Earth (1st Chakra). You are an embodiment of Life...not a struggling human (that’s the old Piscean mentality of divide and conquer, sacrifice and abandonment). It will also empower you in such a way as to finally leave old contracts and commitments that no longer serve you. The Solar Eclipse is also about realizing your innate power and gifts. This is a time to really shed some skins around the old “no power” or “abuse of power” syndrome most of us have had imprinted in us. As Saturn moves deeper into Sagittarius next year, it will begin to expose more of the false power matrix, especially in politics and religion, and then the true effects of embracing our innate power will have the potential for hammering out real social change. It begins with one person at a time, and then multiplies exponentially. The Eclipse is sort of a death-knell for organized politics and religion anyway. Saturn will expose much, and the remaining energy of the Uranus-Pluto square and this Eclipse will continue the crumbling of static and outworn structures, from the personal level to the global stage. One note of caution – eclipses are tricky, and since there’s a Lunar Eclipse at 14 degrees of Aries-Libra on April 4th it could distort some of the things you thought you were previously clear about. In other words, no final decisions about some things will be available until after the Saturn retrograde is completely resolved – around mid-November. I’ll address this in more depth in the final installment of this series this coming Saturday, March 21st. Check out the flower essence and article suggestions below, they may help. Enjoy, and remember, this too shall pass! ![]() Week of March 8th to the 14th - “Under Pressure” We’re past the Full Moon of March 5th, and it seems it was particularly challenging for a lot folks...and continues to be so for some. The Sun in Pisces came up to meet transiting Chiron in Pisces this past Sunday, and that may have brought up some ‘ouch’; old hurts, wounds or grievances from your childhood that can no longer remain unacknowledged. To some extent, these two events…the Full Moon and Sunday’s Sun-Chiron conjunction, were bookends. So, if you are feeling raw about any wounding from previous situations, this may have been an opportunity to dig into the stories associated with these formative events in your life. Also highlighted at this time are any masculine-feminine tensions, inwardly and outwardly. This gets a boost by what’s been transpiring with Mars and Venus, the archetypes of human relating. The next section highlights this. “Venus is not her easy-going self in Aries, but Mars is right at home in it, and is spoiling for a fight!” Mars and Venus have been hanging out in the sign of Aries (the Warrior) since February 20th, and have been coming into close contact with the South Node of the Moon (represents karmic baggage – subconscious patterns) and Uranus (“My freedom sir…NOW, if you please!”). Venus is not her easy-going self in Aries, but Mars is right at home in it, and is spoiling for a fight...or something! Add Uranus into the mix…and we have an unpredictably explosive situation. Add the South Node, and everyone’s old hurts and wounds start rising to the surface. Add in Pluto in Capricorn and we have a power play! Anything that is not in alignment with your personal evolutionary impulse, or the planetary dream, is getting a Spring cleanout. To fully comprehend this examine any recent events in your relationships that have shown you where you have tolerated actions and behaviours that weren’t necessarily healthy, loving or above board. It will also show you where you’ve abused your own power, and haven't taken responsibility for it. You might feel you want to confront those with whom you have an axe to grind, but it may be more useful to examine your own past, and see where the pattern started. This is you healing your patterns, and is not about fixing the other person. “Keep in mind that the Moon will be in Scorpio during the middle parts of this week, which can clearly amp things up emotionally. Don’t suppress, but reign in your impulsiveness before expressing yourself. Compassion is the key. Much of what is now occurring is also mirrored in the global and regional news. If you feel triggered for no reason whatsoever, by minor or major irritants, then it would be a good idea to recognize that what you’re probably feeling are the injustices in the world, and how they are reaching a critical mass. We make so many excuses for not standing up and saying how we really feel about what seems to happen to us, and all too often we rationalize in favour of those who continue to abuse us, or others. Time to learn to say no…and mean it, rather than to think it’s not polite or loving to address an intolerable situation directly. Keep in mind that the Moon will be in Scorpio during the middle parts of this week, which can clearly amp things up emotionally. Don’t suppress, but reign in your impulsiveness before expressing yourself, or it could be destructive. Compassion is the key. Next Mars meets up with Uranus on March 11th. Now this could be quite tense, as this joining is being squared by Pluto in Capricorn. It also comes with the caveat “and now for something completely unexpected”, as Uranus is the master of surprise. This configuration can have two or more felt experiences…chaos or excitement are two that come to mind! Giddiness is another…like the sensation one has just before the first car on a roller coaster peaks at the top of the first hill…just before the descent. (Chart for March 11th below) “Wherever the tension has been at its most taut, there is where the energy has to be moved or released. The lesson’s been learned, the contract is done…time to move on. “ This will feel like a clarion call to action, a strong desire to break free from restrictions or obligations that have become intolerable. How this might manifest depends on which houses in a person’s chart are ‘lit up’ by these three planets. Example: It could have something to do with work and home (10th-4th houses) or perhaps with relationships (1st-7th). Mars will then advance slightly to square with Pluto, raising the pressure again. Wherever the tension has been at it most taut, there is where the energy has to be moved or released. The lesson’s been learned, the contract is done…time to move on. A sense of bold determination can take hold in your heart now, inspiring you to take risks now that you wouldn't have imagined in the recent or distant past. Saturn turns retrograde on Saturday the 14th, signalling a change of direction. Saturn will be retrograde till August 2nd, when it stations direct at 28 degrees of Scorpio. (More about the retrograde in future posts). You may feel this one, as the Saturn ingress into Sagittarius on Dec.22nd-23rd was quite a game-changing event on the heels of the Winter Solstice and Uranus moving into direct motion. Anything that is making you feel ‘stuck’ at this moment about what you started began during Christmas week, 2014. Examine whatever was initiated at that time, and see how you need to remove, adjust or shift now to get yourself moving in the appropriate direction. Since Saturn is in the sign of that which is about seeking truth, perhaps some piece of information or merely a new insight will help clear up any confusion, which will also help to end any impasse and start moving forward again. Mercury enters Pisces on Friday, so you may find your attention and thoughts wavering or becoming fuzzy over the weekend, especially when it moves closer to Neptune in Pisces. This happens in advance of Monday’s big deal – the 7th and final square between Pluto and Uranus. The outer planets are all transpersonal, and the inner ones are the personal. It is the interplay between the personal and universal, the individual and humanity at large, that is being influenced and prodded into massive transformation at this time. You can take it personally…and grow with it! We are truly living in interesting and unique times. The next installment, coming out Sunday morning, will address the Uranus-Pluto showdown on March 16th and the Solar Eclipse and Equinox on the 20th. This is a gateway that takes us out of the Piscean Age and anchors us firmly onto the road towards the Age of Aquarius. Never a dull moment! Steady as she goes everyone... To relax, spend time out in Nature, eat well, stay grounded, sleep and naps, Bach’s Rescue Remedy for nerves and, of course, lots of high-grade chocolate. If you can’t have chocolate, then use spices like cinnamon or nutmeg in warm milk or teas. Valerian root tincture is also recommended. Barbara Hand Clow’s excellent analysis about the whole Uranus-Pluto cycle and how it defines our age socially, politically, economically, environmentally and evolutionarily can be found here. Highly recommended for students of astrology and consciousness. http://www.handclow2012.com/News/Seventh-UsqP.pdf |
