You hear often, "we're all one".
We are...in many ways. And we aren't, in just as many ways.
What we are is connected. By Life, by the Mystery of it.
Who are you, who am I? Where did we come from? Where are we headed?
The age old questions...and the eternal journey of the Quest to find out.
What impels us, compels us, drives us? What is our purpose and, is there an Ultimate Purpose?
We are one in many ways, and uniquely different at the same time.
What we all share is connection, or the desire for connection.
We are told to seek it within, while the world beckons us to chase it "out there".
Love is just a word, but what matters is what the word implies, what it points to.
Just a word, right?
But perhaps, just perhaps, it is the the one thing that really binds us together, that really defines us beyond all of our dreams, hopes, achievements or even our failures.
Have you experienced it, true intimacy with yourself?
With or through another?
Or as the modern Bard sang, "why wait any longer for the world to begin?"
So on this Solstice and the Yule season, we all turn our eyes and our hearts towards the Light.
We all yearn for something beyond words, beyond our meager comprehension.
We want to feel connected, to belong.
Love is just a word. It is what the word implies that matters.
What would you do, for love, for that connection?
Let's find out.
For it is in how we reach out for connection, or to help another feel like they belong, that we discover what we all carry within us. Love. It just is.
When you love another, have you experienced how your love is received? When you do, you won't ever not love yourself, ever again. For it knows no boundaries, nor beliefs, nor conditions.
It just is that...The Connection.
Reach for that, and you will never thirst or go hungry again.
